Why would humans not need to work? That would only happen if the profits of AI are socialised which is not going to happen, just like it didn't during industrialization. We have a capitalist economy, people will simply lose their jobs and rich tech companies will hoover up their prior wages. We're not going to achieve a Star Trek-esque societal structure in a few years lol.
