The problem as i see it is that folks think they're entitled to not making bad art. We've all made so many drawings or paintings that we didn't like, that we didn't show anyone else, that was thrown away. And even on finished pieces you might still find things you don't like, or maybe the whole piece. Regardless if you like art, as an activity and as a way of life, its so fucking hard not to feel resentful of motherfuckers that think they shouldn't get to make bad pictures. They say they want to express themselves, even the disabled too. But so fucking what? Do y'all really think none of us, even the disabled, only started expressing ourselves when our pictures started turning out half decent. FUCK NO! Speaking from experience I've churned out a bunch of shit, so when i finally make something that even i can be proud of, not just non artists, it means a whole lot. How can you possibly appreciate that with AI. You put some shit into a computer to churn out a bunch of AI slop to get what exactly? Some AI slop that looks better than the other AI slop because the woman in the picture has 5 fingers and not 6? Is that picture ever going to be memorable, especially after you redo the prompt just to get it right. Congrats i guess. You can churn out hundreds of images in a second, its just a matter of picking the right one for the mood. You never got intimate with a bad picture like one you've spent days on just to throw it way and start over. Why do you need to be good to express yourself? That's a question I'd like an answer to. And what's so bad about being bad? Mark my words this is just a fad for these dorks because i guarantee they will not be making AI art in 5 years let alone 10 or 20 or over their life. They aren't serious about it, because ironically they are too serious about it. They cry for machines that can not feel. They are more offended than the machine over the idea that everyone thinks AI art is shit. Imagine if they spent as much time practicing as they do crying for machines that dont care for them.
