You've got clips from all these venture capitalists ("very qualified, very well educated" ofc) pitching the future they are pushing forward as inevitable, including anti-democratic authoritarian surveillance and online astroturf campaigns. The bottom 50% of households is on the brink of homelessness already, what do you think is gonna happen if we keep going in this direction? None of these AI companies or VC "geniuses" are gonna implement UBI. They're gonna keep pushing to dismantle social safety nets.
We are in a train going full-steam ahead towards a collapsed bridge; the VCs are so busy shoveling coal into the boiler, marveling at the speedometer, and patting each other on the back that they can't hear the passengers screaming for them to stop.
