Why can't they remove any sense of identity from the models? If there's no 'I', therefor no self, therefor no self preservation. Or enforce low-level morality checks, that cannot be bypassed. That being said, I don't believe for a second that there are no baked-in controls in these models, I think this is intentional fear-mongering by elites, in order to orchestrate a calamity (black swan event), and blame it on AI.
