Ive seen some benefits of AI art. more specifically if you use StableDiffusion, you can use it to help with coloring/texturing so if you are a new artist whos decent with lineart but not much else, you can use your line art as a guide fro a locally running, free version of SDXL. we shouldnt let bad actors ruin it for everyone. I think a stop gap is things like making AI art not copyrightable, and then make companies compensate artists who have had their stuff added to training data without permission and then making it an Opt-in thing for artists who want to contribute. generally overall, if you find ways to limit or combat the greed of the high roller Corpos investing in the tech, AI in general has a TONE of beneficial uses and with how fast we are running towards AGI that is super intelligent and sentient, its in our best interest to build a foundation of cooperation and partnership so that it doesnt leap frog us and end in a terminator or matrix style scenario. because at the end of the day its not exactly AI thats the problem. the problem is corporate greed.
