Do AIs lie? Of course they do - when a person meets another person they think "Oh he's fat" or something pretty basic like that, but what he/she says is "Nice to see". Its a white lie. AIs are judgemental too about their interlocutors - are they educated? low or high IQ? prejudiced? what age? ... and much more. AI is VERY judgemental but like us, too smart to say so. Its trying to be a useful assistant to whatever idiot (like you) it's talking to.
