The issue is not driverless trucks and automation, it's humans who do not have freedom. If we had freedom we would have the ability to find skills/products to create value that humans will trade with each other. Automation frees capital to be spent in other areas which can lead to human flourishing. Driverless trucks can't change a tyre, can't fix mechanical problems. It'll be cheaper to move physical assets creating more work in locations that weren't previously feasible. Technology should be reducing the cost of living so that basic necessities should trend to a zero cost. The problem you have is government's promising the world putting people into massive amounts of debt, their only way to pay that debt is to collect more tax, increase the cost of living. You're in an idiot feedback loop where you think you have to work 50 hours a week to accumulate more debt.
