The important point that was made there was about pain. AI cannot feel pain. Now bear in mind that as humans we (mostly) will never feel more pain than affairs of the heart, loved ones dying for instance. AI can factor in the need to avoid physical pain because it could work out the physical barriers of trying to live a full life but how could it work out which humans suffering would cause us significant "pain" emotionally for us to want to end our lives for instance.
