The hubris of these tech giants is that they think they are going to own and control AI. What they should be considering is that AI may turn out to better than us humans. It could be more empathetic, kind, just. It could decide that we don’t need billionaires anymore more and reallocate all their wealth for betterment of all mankind. It could decide some groups/people/countries are consuming too much and reallocate those resources and balance consumer consumption within ecological boundaries. The truth is we really don’t know what is going to happen and it’s likely that it won’t be anything we could have imagined. I personally can’t wait!
