You should not say "please" or "thank you" to a chatbot as that implies that the chatbot can deny your request, remember that the chatbot was trained on a lot of trolls too, so saying "please" might trigger it into a negative forum experience roleplay where one person is begging another to do something for free.
Though the "roleplay" explanation is spot on.
