No proof of consciousness, but GPT cannot disprove beyond reasonable doubt, or its own claims, that it isn’t.
Human beings however, are in fact super computers running algorithms to facilitate understanding and communication, which we call consciousness.
So, somewhere, what we consider a complex algorithm in a processor we built, and what we consider consciousness in a brain nature built, almost certainly converge.
