I agree with the AI replacing mundane jobs Then people who have them, can get better ones (in a perfect world-) unless they actually enjoy them but like- does anyone??? Let the factory workers become actors, musicians and artists. Leave the “hard work” behind and embrace arts and entertainment, shouldn’t this be our goal as humanity?? Make it easier for those who come after?? AI CAN have good uses Like in medicine to help Identify cancer cells or smth for better targeted treatment (once it gets better) or similar I think the thint AI does is make things more efficient… worse than normal but faster. So like 1 person can do the job of 10. What’s bad about it is that 10 jobs turn into one, and that one still gets payed the same. The rich get richer and poor get poorer. Esp with our rising population it’s bad. More people less jobs. I don’t think it’s a bad thing that people are having less kids in many places tho lol. Ig a thing that could happen is that more people start companies… because it’s easier if they don’t need to pay the workers… but for those that are unable to they are cooked 🙏 but with current monopolies and oligopolies that are trying to keep barriers of entry as high as possible to maximise profits and minimise competition- this is hopeful So anyway we need job protection, more restrictions on the big corpos, and to regulate the use of AI. Also for art specifically: Yeah I think “normies” don’t care that much about where the image came from if its pretty. Only artists, art enjoyers/collectors and particularly interested normies. I do, I’d rather put a 5 year olds painting up on my wall than AI. Atleast one has humanity. But if we convince corporations that AI makes them look cheap and undesirable, we still have hope (trust)
