Liberalism caused this. First it was "if you have preference for your own nation or ethnic group over other nations or ethnic groups then you're a parochial, narrowminded racist" then it was "if you have preference for humans over other species then you're a parochial, narrowminded speciesist" now it's "if you have preference for organic life over the whole world being used as fuel for a robot then you're a parochial, narrowminded speciesist" .
