I think Geoffrey's 'plumber' argument is a bit tongue and cheek. With that one statement, he's basically saying, 'you're screwed'. Obliviously not everyone can be plumbers, and honestly, the only reason people get into it is because it's a flexible, well paying, and 'safe' trade. It's a dirty job, essentially. Dextrous robots integrated with A.I. will inevitably affect all lines of work, it's just a matter of when. What he's implying is that plumbing will be one of the last trades to go. It's a ridiculous premise that the masses of displaced workers are going to be tripping over each other to get into the plumbing life boat. And that's the point.
