Within another decade, it may be difficult to find paying work that an automated system can't do better than you can.
Even if it takes more than a decade, that dynamic will only continue to grow as long as we don't bring on some apocalyptic reset of civilization and technology before then.
UBI is not the only plausible response to rapidly advancing AI. But it may be the only one that isn't an Elysium-like dystopia.
