answer too your title. Yes. simple as. does that mean i hate AI? no. i think it can be a powerful tool too help aid those who understand basic artistry to progress in their endeavours. what is Illegal about it. is how the models are currently trained off copyrighted material scrapped off the internet. the moment they stop making the training set in this way. my campaign to educate others on this will stop. but sadly that is NOT the case right now. I will end with this bit of knowledge.
AI Art can not be copyrighted. only parts you have edited in a significant way. so that makes it useless in must industries where ownership over Characters and Concepts are critical to financial success. there is no job for prompt writting. there is no job for ai. and even the ai art used in big media are heavily edited by real artists. so if you want too make a living off art. or have any credibility in the art community. your better of learning how to create this stuff on your own.
PS: Creativity isn't typing prompts. it is the act of creating something. hence why art can only be copy righted when it is made by human hands.
