As an artist, I think I may be the only person who doesn’t care, I’ve been drawing for 8+ years and I don’t ever get credit anyways I do what I do cause I love it, there are already plenty of artists better than me, so AI stealing my job doesn’t bother me one bit when people with better skill were already doing that, I don’t feel this sense of comradery with other artists either, I just don’t care... you can look my name up on insta if you wanna see where I’m at as an artist, I think AI art is cool and it’s very trendy right now I haven’t tried it for myself but it seems fun, maybe I’m a romantic but, I just don’t think any artificially generated art will stand the test of time and replace genuine human connection and communication, if AI art looks cool then I’ll give props but there’s no story behind the piece, and even if the generated piece seems to have a story, there is no artist behind it, when I personally really like something I dive deep into the story of the person behind it to see where this piece of art has come from, the backstory of the art and the artist, the evolution of the art and artist, with AI the people who made it have a cool story they made this generator that took the world by storm but the person behind the art itself?
