I think you're assuming all of the working class will just do nothing when their jobs are automated instead of applying their skills to things we have job shortages in. Prices will go down, free time will go up, profitable companies will pay better. More entrepreneurs will develop ideas meaning there'll be more jobs.
I think you're being naive. We saw what happened in industrial revolutions of the past, life generally gets better for everyone
