AI art is a solution looking for a problem. And that comes through in how its advocates speak. Art is FUN. Creating stuff is AMAZINGLY FUN. The best use of AI (even though it is a horribly inefficient technology) is to enable us to do things like art with our time, rather than wasting it on inane monotonous work. AI art is trying to make a problem out of that so they can claim that AI art is good. Because it's fast to produce.
