I've made a video defending *individuals* using AI models trained on copyrighted works, so long as the end result is transformative and not just raw AI. And even I agree that *companies* doing this in any capacity is unacceptable and I hope declared illegal. I urge people who are interested in AI to use free open source options made by hobbyists, don't fund yet another exploitative industry.
