The argument against ai related to explicit content abuse and propaganda is 100% something that should be fought against vehemently and it sucks that it is being overshadowed by butt hurt artists complaining about the actually cool part of ai art. I don't believe in copyright but even if I did, having that be the main topic with such horrible topics as just the justification for the argument is utterly ridiculous. Talk about making light of a serious issue. In regard to the copyright side of things and why it should simply not be a focus for AI criticism especially when other pressing issues are FAR more important. I think that if you are sharing your creations, whether creative or functional, with the world, the world has every right to absorb it. Will people take advantage and just copy and paste? Absolutely but that is going to happen even if you were to put 10 layers of security and make it illegal. The point of a law is not to punish innocent people it's made to punish the wrong doers. Copyright punishes the innocent who are trying to innovate and rarely actually punishes the wrong doers trying to steal. An ineffective law that actively harms the ones its supposedly meant to protect is a useless law that shouldn't exist. If you don't want others to expand upon your creations, then fine keep them to yourself but if you share them with the world then take responsibility and let them be used as a base for other things. AI is a human creation so as much as your artists ego hates to admit it, it is inherently a creative thing that builds upon what came before. As humans we don't like murder because it takes away our ability to live, AI DOES NOT take away our ability to create. If you are murdered you can't choose to not be murdered, but if an AI is better at drawing than you are, guess what you can still draw! So equating someone essentially "stealing" your homework, to people being abused, extorted, and brainwashed is really not a great look IMO but by all means continue to poison AI art generation while people are out here suffering actual lasting harm. Regardless of what I said it was an entertaining video and the artwork is great! I hope that when AI does get better you continue drawing as it would suck if you stopped doing something you loved just because something out there is better at it than you! I'm honestly a bit worried since this video and many like it seem to think that if AI exists then suddenly people wont be able to draw anymore and I just want to assure you that that isn't the case!
