If you accept that there no such thing as originality and AI art is real art, then you have to accept that it’s the neural network who’s the artist, not the person writing prompts. But the prompt writers want to have their cake and eat it, too - They want to *own* the art they generate and monetize it, using the AI as an excuse to not have to compensate talent.
I think a similar thing happens in industry - It takes years of human beings doing things the old fashioned way, and thinking about how it could be done better or faster, before an automated solution comes into existence, and it’s human laborers who raise the capital necessary to buy big expensive machines.
