The thing with the "catering to the ultra rich" endgame is even this kill itself.
Supply and demand, all companies will competes against each other to cater to the ultra richs, so the richs will choose their favorite companies, and the rest will die.
So we have a very limited of company who only target a small very specific group.
So, there is no provider for the mass, and alll it take is one or few man to set up an automated company ..... dunno feel liek the common man would basically recreate their own society while the richs do their things in their own bubble.
And don't forget, no employment mean the riches had powers over no one... unless we go full futuristic-medieval where the riches own armies of enforcer robots to keep the peasant in line... in line of what? since they have nothign to take from the poors, nto even their manual labors.
