What you forget is, that AI by itself does nothing. You can sit for hours in front of ChatGPT or Midjourney and nothing will happen.
It is the human in front of it who triggers the action. Prompt in, result out. Garbage in, garbage out.
Guess what? Most of the time it is garbage in, garbage out. And use the first iteration.
And AI rehashes all it has been trained on?
As do we. Show me an artist, who is not influenced by something, which he/she hasn't heard, seen, read or lived.
Creation ex nihilo? Impossible. Out of a vacuum comes vacuum.
