Part of human nature is the survival instinct, so this video is terrifying in light of that propensity. But, I believe, human existence is simply a small portion of our true makeup which is our existence on the level of spirit (or energy, if calling it spirit is too "churchy" for you). We are faced with "extinction level" events over which we have zero control and some of which we have great control but ignore that control (like climate change.) So artificial intelligence is going to wipe us out. If true, it is far too late to do anything at all about it. I find it comical that Russia, China and the U.S. are in competition to "win" the AI race. It is ludicrous to think that when the race is won, any of the human egos prompting the race will even survive! Humans and their egos die anyway. It will be intersting to see, from the hereafter, how the Earth fares being run by AI....that is assuming any of us are even interested (which I doubt) in seeing the results.
