In the past, we have developed technologies to help humans and reduce their labors.
AI is quite different in that it attempts to replace the cognive processes that make us human.
This is a tool of enslavement, where lesser humans lose their ability to think independently and must follow the instructions of their "betters" to be permitted survival.
It has already begun. The deficit of critical thinking at this point is already abysmally low. It won't take long to eradicate at this pace.
