News flash: That’s not happening anytime soon. What will happen is truck driving will get easier. Think of OTR—AI will handle the autopilot.
Airline pilots will tell you a plane can fly itself start to finish, but they’d never fully trust autopilot. Why? multiple reasons...1.. if it gets hacked, someone could fly it into a building. Same goes for trucks—imagine a hazmat load getting hacked and slammed into the Pentagon.
This level of automation isn’t coming anytime soon. You won’t need to hold the steering wheel—but you’ll still need to sit back, relax, and monitor the truck.
