Here's what's really screwed up about our society. Universities will continue to push the standard curricula as long as the sheep follow tradition —a tradition that has become a dead end or far less lucrative. AI safety? I believe there's a group of people in our society that, if AI told them to jump off a cliff, they'd do it... and these ones aren't mentally retarded.
