isn't trucking a shitty job that slowly kills you from sitting on your ass for years on end? I'm sorry but I find it hard to get upset about this job getting automated, like imagine if 150 years ago people had said "we cant install central heating, where are the chimney sweeps gonna work?"
jobs being automated is a good thing always, the job still gets done at the end of the day, the wealth is still there, but humans are free to do better things, one day everyone will be unemployed, and we will be living better lives than ever.
the problem isn't automation, the problem is that our current economic system isn't set up for it. we will find a new way of distributing the products of these machines so that no one need work anymore. I just reckon there are gonna be some major growing pains. but no matter how much you shout and scream, there is no un-inventing a new technology, so you're gonna have to cope
