This reporting is problematic given the reporter seems to not be very technical. It is disturbing and sad anytime somebody dies in a car accident, but there are a few thing to note to reduce the audience's fear that is being generated by this reporting:
1. The leading crash she uses as the centerpiece of the story...is from 2021. Since then, the cameras, hardware, computers and training methods have changed drastically....as in BILLIONS of dollars and innovations in AI to train models and refactor the driving. The whole thesis of how auto pilot has changed and only this year gone into a full roll out on the newer cars. It's a different world.
The reporter seems to not be aware of that...which is strange.
2. The "tesla" employee...is a tagger(don't think he's the engineer..)...which is part of the old model of training. Now billion dollar computers are accelerating what he was doing.
Again..this was released 2 weeks ago on technology that is not used present day. That is out of context reporting...and dangerous to put out in the public. Bad work guys.
