I build AI agents at a professional services company. No, they’re not replacing jobs any time soon. If anything, AI is at its best when it can get you 70-80% of the way done with a task before starting. Realistically, it will probably get you closer to 20-30% of the way there. At the end of the day, you still need smart people spot checking the AI’s output. They are trained to produce answers that look correct, even if the information is completely wrong.
