Ai artist problem isn't that their 'tool' doesn't require them to work. It actually does. You need a prompt and you need to try multiple times to succeed. If you compare it to a camera, you could in the same way say that it doesn't require any talent as you just click it and get lucky with what's in front of you.
What IS actually problematic is that their 'Tool' just eats shit tonn of copyrighted images for itself to work. It's like using a camera to photo a bunch of artworks and claim copyright to the image.
In any case even if you do copyright it, your image will still be stolen and recycled by AI in the future if it's just good enough. I doubt copyright would even matter that much even if he somehow succeeded.
