I agree with Rick Rubin’s comments about art and the expression of a point of view. What is a AI’s point of view? So whether AI will replace music is too general of a question because it depends on the quality of the listener and the quality of the music one is talking about replacing. If you are talking about replacing formulaic music made by humans then AI can easily replace it and generate more profit. Like with handmade goods, maybe handmade music can still have a place in our lives. I guess that’s all up to us, what we choose to ingest.
