I think you’re missing a major talking point which is the fact that NOBODY WANTS TO ACTUALLY PAY FOR UNIVERSAL INCOME!!!!!! Rich billionaires already don’t pay their share to support the basic needs of the working class that they are actively strip mining for resources (I.e. slashing SNAP, medicaid, education, and infrastructure) what makes you think they’ll suddenly put money into the governments of the world to ensure that all the little peasants get support now that they have no way to make money for themselves? This will not end well for any normal person who now has their livelihood taken away without any form of compensation. Don’t get me started on the fact that AI is also deep frying people’s brains and harming our ability to actually learn and think critically. Nothing about this is good for normal people!
