i find it wierd that everyone calls AI image gen a tool when it isnt. a tool software wise is a small piece of software that takes over a task in an app or OS. be it edditing datafiles that cant be normally eddited or rebalancing sound or lighting in 3d moddeling if you dont want to do that manually(or cant) you can let a software do it instead. that is a tool. its purpose is to create convenience and to minimise tedium. now look at what AI image gen does. it creates the entire image without needing human input(as you can just tie a sentence generato macro combo to it), you dont need to intervene its processes, its far more efficient then drawing it yourself as it only takes a fraction of the time and it reduces human error by removing the human from the process. that is the literal definition of automation. AI image gen is the art equivalent to the robot arms in the car manufactory. and what was the main purpose of that automation? saving the company money on salaries, potential pensions, workers benefits and potential injury lawsuits by removing the workers. Automation at its very core is made to replace. AI image gen is no different. the only reason that hasnt happened yet is due to its utter incompetence and the bad press generated through it.
