Art is never about perfection. Art is an expression with its own set of complexity and nuances. It surprises me how history tends to repeat itself in new and unpredictable ways. During the British Colonial era in India, local craftsmen known for their fine workmanship and mastery in handwoven muslin and silk were put out of work after the British introduced cheap quality machine made ones. The local indian textile industry was destroyed and craftsmen looms were smashed and hands broken by british officers. AI may not be able to resort to such regressive ways but the outcome of AI recreating art might lead our artists to drift into oblivion.
