So Brandon, I overall agree with what you said about skills vs A.I. However, I disagree with the point that it's going to take over any and all fields the way it's being portrayed here and in "doomsday media." I believe that in the end, it will help us expedite our processes by removing all of the menial work. EX "I want you to comb over this manuscript and make sure that all parts of it are X font/typeface, with margins Y and Z, and ensure that the rest of the manuscript are left alone" That saves hours of manual work that you would have to do. Do you need to check it for quality, of course, but you're no having to manual do it for each and ever draft/edition. With the art aspect, I wholly agree that A.I. needs to be ethically sourced. I do think it is a good thing though because if you're an indie author who does not have the money to hire an artist but still want a nice cover, then you can get that art, it won't be copy written, but it will still be a nice addition to your book. I think the most important take away though is that the skilled parts of each job will remain in tact, the drool part of it will go away. You won't need to do boilerplates, formatting, color selecting, and much more. This just leaves it down to the creative or skilled parts that need to be done. I don't think A.I. will be used in a manor other than a general resource tool like Google or the Encyclopedia. We do need to put protections into place for sure. I enjoyed listening to this take on the topic from an artist and author. I myself am in software and I've been hearing the same doomsday, but haven't seen it to the level that everyone says it is and going to take over jobs.
