Ai is not being used by companies, this is a myth, if you actually work for these companies which I have, they obsess over having characters drawn on model, I remember a meeting with people from Hasbro they said Ai scares their legal team, they don't want their art stolen either, they said their lawyers are completely against putting their art into ai generators for legal and protective reasons. One other thing when you work for a client, they almost always ask for small changes, that is why illustrators use tones of layers, you simple cannot do that with Ai.
