to be frank I don't trust the states to regulate Ai. They'd just screw the little guy, the home tinkerer, and get bought off by Big tech allowing big tech and silicon valley to continue being able to do what ever they want (in all likelihood). The amount of bias being Ham-fisted into AI models is already terrifying, what happens when the state gets to pick and chose who gets shut down. They normally don't side with 'the people' in matters like this.
