When I was a child, I had a problem with my tonsils, which led me to be very weak and constantly tired (I can't remember the exact name of the sickness). Apparently, I would get physically tired from just having to write/draw with a pen, which led me to have things like unreadable handwriting since I was forced to use cursive. I also had undiagnosed autism/adhd and had troubles expressing my frustration about not keeping up with my peers when it came to practical classes like art. This led to my parents telling me not to pursue art at all. Except, I was still drawing things I liked. I would draw mlp characters (on paper and eventually MS paint with a mouse), and after that, I got into anime and began doodling humans. My art sucked - it was awful. But I was doing it for my own pleasure - not for a job. And you know what happened? My parents stopped discouraging me from drawing, and now I'm on a level that I don't fear drawing in public. My art is FAR below what a person with 8+ years of experience should have, but that doesn't make me want to use AI to draw for me.
