Sam, I am not a visual artist in any sense. But reading most comments that are pro AI art, mainly boil down to these categories:
It's not theft if you can't trace which images it was copied from
We know it's theft and we don't care
Screw artists, they're horrible people
Cyber bullying aside, I think visual artists need to start engaging legal means, get lawyers to shove a lawsuit up the AI corpos orifices, because it's the only language people like them understand. I'll stand my ground with you, artist brethren. But you need to lead this fight.
