Robot Locomotion and Dog Behavior You are wrong about wheels and steps. We conquered that decades ago. Lock the wheel so it doesn't rotate and then walk as if they were small feet. Wheel size matters, if it's too big to fit on the stair tread. But shoe size does, too! Wheels and stairs seem impractical at first blush, until it isn't! Lots of military, industrial, domestic and even toy robots use a couplet or triplet of wheels to actually take steps on stairs by locking each wheel and rotating on the axis of the spaced wheels. Or lock the wheels and turn them sideways to walk and step. You're so embedded in both your limited world view and how it works and your self-right-ness, that you've stopped imagining. If you can't imagine or aren't familiar with current technologies, or those even decades old, how am I to trust your thoughts and opinions here? You're behind, and the value of your insight is being quickly overwritten by progress. And yeah, your dog has no trouble with the baby gate if he's well-motivated. I mean, really well-motivated, or if someone teaches him/her. It's a no-brainer then, as if he/she figured it out on his/her own. It doesn't really take much to teach such fundamental things to reasonably intelligent motivated animals. This is being proved out more and more, astonishing old school thinkers about animals being unintelligent. I am presuming it's not locked with a padlock; that's a whole different story. I'm going to let this slide for both of you and chalk it up to letting your brains relax a little too much, having forgotten that when you're podcasting you're on point! We don't have any inclinations to watch you idle away our precious time. I come here for insight, not entertainment.
