How can one control generative AI, it's creative and surprising and it's hallucinating sometimes, it can propose draft solutions but ultimately one needs a signature or approval to release the results to a client and charge for them.
The regulators approach by categorising by low or significant risk makes sense. We don't take a self flying plane yet even if it's operated mainly by a computer, there are still human pilots overseeing the flight and ready to step in anytime. Safety first.
