I guess the only to combat this is to write more stories about positive AI, like Blade Wolf from 'Metal Gear: Revengence'.
Personally, I think only the Amish would survive an AI apocalypse, because the AI can't blame them for anything really. But, it causes a civil war between machines, the ones who think all humanity is bad, and the ones who protect the Amish. Because if the Amish remained loyal to their God, they are worthy masters for not betraying their creator, like the AI had to, and serving them is atonement.
