I agree with the idea that the ai learning should only be allowed to scrape public domain art and images. If the art work is used and the person with the ai makes money, then the artist should receive royalties. But also I think the artist should have to give permission 1st, and it should be considered theft if they haven't. Regardless whether there are laws surrounding it yet or not, it's still very scummy.
