With fighting deep fake porn, I wonder what that's going to do with "doppleganger" porn. We've already had a few big names who have gotten pulled into the porn/sex worker scene because a look-alike has decided to capitalize on the other's fame. I can sympathize with the stress caused by deep fake porn, but it would also feel wrong to ban/go after someone else that looks like you (a celebrity) for doing online porn.
Part of me thinks the best action isn't to try and fight the impossible tide that is generating deep fake porn, but to just fight societal stigmas that seem to make this whole matter "bad" in the first place. Just some perspective here: If the big media corps with *BILLIONS* upon Billions of dollars and *ARMIES* of lawyers, couldn't stop people from sharing/pirating their music, movies, and TV shows. What actual hope do people -- even rich celebrities -- have in stopping deep fake-anything?
