How could someone who works with AI for so long only recognise the possible danger to humans a few years ago?! It’s exactly this kind of blind stubbornness and tunnel-vision over-dedication that ends up breeding dangerous outcomes years later. Seems like mathematician minds are good with data, and the been and now, but absolutely terrible at foresight - a completely different skill set. So we MUST have more forward-thinking minds involved in processes of technology that can clearly affect our future. Too much power in the hands of the ignorant powerful status seekers and the ignorant blissfully blind techs.
