I often agree with Elon’s visions, but ”no apps” isn’t that easy. Some programs have millions lines of code and require repeatability. Even if cost of inference is none, and development is instant, the *time* cost of planning will remain. Knowing a user’s true vision will be fundamentally impossible even for the smartest AI model, unless it literally reads your brain. And that won’t work either, because our visions aren’t fully formed before we start planning & learning. If we speak about basic apps & media consumption for the masses - Yes, much will be directly through AI. Complex apps, simulators, games, etc, will absolutely remain. Actually they will scale due to lower cost of development, leaving us consumers with higher quality apps at a lower price.
