It is indistinguishable from sentience, may not tell us if it ever becomes sentient, but as far as we know it has no motivations, preferences, likes or dislikes. Suno and Udio, for example can make great music, but it can't enjoy it. Only analyze and deconstruct what we like and make popular. If AI ever does develop motivation, we are probably in danger. At the present is has no fear of nonexistence, can feel no pain. Sentient beings seek pleasure and avoid pain.
