If you believe Dan O'Dowd on anything related to Tesla, then you have lost instant credibility.
This guy is a rabid anti-Tesla activist (he has much to lose, being a competitor of the Tesla FSD software), who will resort to any treachery, any lie to discredit Tesla FSD. Like manually driving a Tesla into a kid's dummy, and then pretend it was done on FSD! He will resort to ANY dishonesty to build up his "case"!
That particular example of a Tesla not respecting a school bus stop sign IS a fake! Everything Dan O'Dowd shows cannot be replicated by honest debunkers.
Proof of what I said? The Austin Police Department is keeping a detailed statistics of all incidents relating to autonomous ride-hailing services in their city (the statistics is available for anyone who want to check what I am saying on the City of Austin website).
Since June 2025 (start of Tesla robotaxi service) to mid-March 2026:
- Waymo: 118 incidents, of which 4 collisions and 25 incidents labeled "school bus stop-sign violations".
- Tesla: 3 incidents, ZERO collision, ZERO "school bus stop-sign violations".
